Site description
A peer destroyed in the 80s makes for a site with plenty of underwater broken frames to swim around and admire local wildlife. Indeed, these left over 'A frames' have given this site it's name.
Silty bottom (my nickname in high school). Max depth of site ~30m depending on tides. Several large sections of old pier struts dotted about at various depths. There is access to the water via a now dilapidated set of stone steps. Some might even say that it is no longer recognisable as steps and is rather just a rocky slope. Tripping/slipping/falling on this part is the main hazard of the site. There’s also a fast road but normally it’s pretty quiet. Nobatble hazards: - Tripping on rocks in kit – uneven rock steps down to site - Tides |
