Diver Grade: Dive Leader
Instructor Grade: Open Water Instructor
I joined the club in my first year as PADI Open Water, having only done the occasional warm water holiday diving. As part of EUSAC, my confidence and skills in the water grew, and I worked my way up to qualifying as an Instructor! I've gained countless friends and a love of shipwrecks during my time with EUSAC. This is my fourth year on the committee and i'm looking forward to running this ship ;) if you have any questions, just drop me a message!
Diving Officer: Paul Miller
Diver Grade: Advanced Diver/Hypoxic Trimix CCR Diver
Instructor Grade: Advanced Instructor/Assistant Instructor Trainer
My focus is to expand the diving that the club does whilst making it more inclusive for all levels of divers. I particularly enjoy the challenge of running trips to more remote places and exploring new sites. Scotland has some of the most spectacular diving in the world and I want to encourage EUSAC to go on adventures.
The DO is responsible for the safety of all diving activities in branch, including training, trip running, boats and kit. If you want to go diving let me know, most likely I will want to join you.
Treasurer: Hannah Bischof
Diver Grade: Working on it!!!
I am very new to diving and just recently went on my first dive ever! If you're scared of diving in Scotland because of the weather, the cold really isn't as bad as you think.
Send me an email about anything money-related, or come say hi in the pub!
Memberships and Social Secretary: Charis Walton
Diver Grade: Sports Diver in training
Instructor Grade: -
I joined EUSAC as a PADI Crossover in September 2017, having fairly limited experience diving (and only in warm waters) but have found a group of highly passionate individuals willing to offer time, advice and resources to those who need them.
As membership secretary, I deal with people looking to join us and communicate with BSAC, and as social secretary I'm in charge of our non-diving time together. Find me at the pub night (nearly) every Friday and keep an eye out on the EUSAC Facebook page for future events like those in Welcome Week and the 50th Anniversary Burns Night celebration!
Training Officer: Ross Mackay
Diver Grade: Ocean Diver
I got into diving only recently but I have loved it from the first moment I got into the water. I thoroughly enjoyed my EUSAC training last year; and this year I want to give something back. I became training officer in the hopes that I can help make this year's training go as smoothly as it has in previous years. As well as the standard diving grades we are also looking to run skills development courses such as O2, first aid and boat handling.
Equipment Officer: Finn Crossley-Jones
Diver Grade: Sports Diver
I am fairly new to diving, I joined the club last year as a PADI crossover having only dived in warm water. I have loved braving the cold waters (its really not that bad!) and have been amazed by the amount of marine life to see around Scotland!
If you need any help with equipment or the boats or find anything that need fixing then please send me an email or a message on facebook.
Assistant Equipment Officer: Stephen Everest
Diver Grade: Dive Leader (in training)
I joined this club last year, crossing over from PADI (Rescue diver). The club has been great for enabling me to gain more experience diving in cold water, and fitting in dives around my degree.
I am the Assistant equipment officer, so my duties essentially involve helping Finn with anything equipment related.
Fundraising, Alumni, Publicity and Sponsorship (FAPS) Officer: Erin McKee
Diver Grade: Sports Diver (in training)
I joined the club this past year as an open water crossover diver and have loved
braving the cold water to experience some of the gorgeous diving areas around Scotland. I have continued my training with EUSAC by taking part in the Sports Diver course this past semester and am excited to finish my qualification.
As the FAPS Officer I am responsible for all things Fundraising, Alumni, Publishing and Sponsorship for the club. This year I hope to keep up our strong links with our alumni while developing our online presence to make things more accessible for members and those interested in joining the club. I am also looking into ways to increase our sponsorship and fundraising to help keep diving affordable for all members.
Feel free to email me if you have any questions or thoughts for the club!
