The day trip planning workshop is designed to help new and novice EUSAC members plan day trips to go diving. The information is tailored to EUSAC day trips but can form the basis of longer trips too.
Once you have an idea for where you'd like to go, you can reach out to our DO and let them know about your plans.
Go where you want to dive
The club will be scheduling workshops throughout the year for members to come along to and work through the tasks with instructors. You can also work through the tasks at home and ask a kindly instructor to give your plans a check or even take the plunge and begin to organise a day trip of your own.
Practise in preparation for BSAC Dive Leader
The workshop does not replace the need for a qualified Dive Manger (BSAC Dive Leader or above) to be on site to manage the diving activities, but gives members the skills to plan and organise all the pre-dive trip activities.
The files consist presentations, useful proformas for trip planning, details on vehicle costs/fuel consumption (check with Treasurer for up to date rates) and a flow chart for trip planning.
Don't forget to check out the links page which has web links to a number of useful sites to help with trip planning and provide further information of dive sites.
If you have any queries get in touch with the Diving Officer (contact details on the committee page) who can point you in the right direction.
